About the Isle of Berk Mod Archive

Why this site exists

When the Isle of Berk Mod was discontinued, its documentation scattered. Some of it sits on mod listing pages, some on community wikis in varying states of completeness, and a great deal of it only ever existed inside video tutorials. Players arriving today — often through the films or through a modpack — end up piecing the mod together from half a dozen sources.

This site is an attempt to hold that information in one place: what the mod is, what it needs to run, how its systems actually behave, and what happened to the project after the final release.

What we publish

Reference pages

The dragon roster, the technical requirements and the taming and control scheme are kept as reference material — short, factual and updated when something demonstrably changes.

Long-form guides

Eight guides cover installation, the species list, taming, breeding, troubleshooting, server setup and the community continuations. They are written for someone sitting in front of the game, not for someone skimming.

How we check things

Information here is drawn from the mod's official listings, from community documentation, and from testing in-game where testing is possible. Where behaviour differs between the original build and a community port, we say so rather than flattening the difference.

What we are not

We are not the mod's developers, we do not host the mod files, and we are not affiliated with Mojang Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Modrinth, CurseForge or the original mod team. Downloads should always come from the platforms the authors published on.
